Regents Living Environment is designed to provide students with an awareness of basic scientific  concepts, the ability to reason inductively and a basic understanding of the living world.  Students will understand and apply scientific concepts, principles and theories pertaining to the physical setting and living environment and recognize the historical development of ideas in science.

Entrance to the Regents Exam is contingent upon satisfactory completion of 20 hours (1200 minutes) of lab work as evaluated by submitting and passing lab reports.

Regents Chemistry addresses the study of matter and energy at the molecular level of our world.  Through an examination of scientific discoveries in history, students become aware of the current thinking about the structure of atoms, what makes different substances unique, the reasons that certain chemicals react, and how we manipulate chemicals to suit our needs for materials and energy.

Human Biology (GCC Bio 102) is a survey course presenting basic concepts of human anatomy and physiology including the structure of cells, tissues, and organs and their normal physiological interactions.  Laboratory experiences will be provided to reinforce important lecture concepts.  Two class hours and two laboratory hours.
